The best part of my work is getting to know all of you, what makes you happy and what is most important to you in life. I love the social aspect. That is why I went from almost becoming a biotechnologist, stuck behind a microscope all day, to becoming a naturopath who gets to use a microscope as part of my work.
I have been helping people find the solutions to their health issues for over 10 years now. I love helping educate people about their bodies, what their symptoms mean and what we can do to change the picture. I work with you to get you on the path to recovery, feeling amazing and loving your life and body again.
In the last three years, since my husband was diagnosed with two autoimmune gut disorders, I have dived head first into learning all about digestive health conditions and the treatments and answers that are available. We always ate really well, but all of a sudden had to stick to a gluten free diet 24/7. Even for me it was a huge adjustment, being cautious of all foods, reading every label 3 times!
That is why I am so passionate about IBS, Coeliac, Crohn’s and anything what so ever related to gluten free. All of this has led me to focus on digestive/gut issues, as there is so much that can be done beyond trying to suppress symptoms with drugs (feedback from my patients is that it is not really that affective, although I do believe it has its place).
Also if you have been diagnosed with Coeliac or Non-Coeliac gluten sensitivity, then there is so much more you need to know apart from how to avoid gluten. There are so many issues facing those on a gluten free diet, like the grief/loss, the socialising, what to do when you accidentally get “glutened”, the reactions of others and most importantly, how can live a gluten free life and love it!

When I am not at work with all my amazing patients and working with the best team at Cross Road Chiropractic, you could find me having fun with my three year old daughter. Or cooking up a Gluten Free storm in the kitchen (I love, love food, it’s one of the most important things in life and such a social pleasure). In our fruit and veg garden, down the beach or reading the latest research on gut disorders (I can’t help myself).
